Who we are

Family-run care, built on fifteen years of experience.

Lillyfields started in 2011 when Diane, a retired Mental Health Nurse, set up our home care service in Hampshire. Over time more and more of those clients needed something visiting care couldn't provide: round-the-clock support at home. In 2015 her son Rob set up Lillyfields Live-in Care to do exactly that. We've stayed deliberately small ever since. Every client matters here, because we know every client.

Diane Jones

Founder, Lillyfields Care

A retired Mental Health Nurse with a degree in nursing, Diane founded Lillyfields' home care service in 2011 and has been its registered manager ever since. Lillyfields Care is CQC-rated Good. Diane's focus is the clinical and policy side of the business, making sure the standards behind what we do never slip.

Rob Jones

Founder, Lillyfields Live-in Care

Rob set up the live-in arm of Lillyfields in 2015 after seeing home care clients reach the point where visiting care wasn't enough. With over 15 years managing social care, Rob's focus is the part most agencies get wrong: recruiting and retaining good carers so the people we send to your home are people we'd send to our own family.

Nicky Haynes

Care Manager

Nicky joined Lillyfields in 2012 and has done just about every job in the business: coordinator, finance, HR, dom care manager. She's the person you'll likely speak to when you call. Nicky's the kind of care manager who'll get in her car and drive 50 miles to sort out a problem in person. And has.

Why live-in care

Stay at home. Keep your independence.

A care home means losing your routine and your familiar things. Live-in care brings everything you need to you, without the upheaval.

Your home, your rules

Sleep in your own bed. Keep your routines, your pets, your photographs. Eat what you like, when you like.

One trusted carer

One friendly face in your home. Not a rota of strangers. Companionship and support around the clock, from someone who actually knows you.

Tailored daily support

Personal care, mobility, medication, meals, shopping, household tasks, and most importantly, real company. Care that fits your life, not the other way round.

Fully-vetted carers

Every carer is DBS-checked, fully referenced, and trained in personal care, medication, moving and handling. We match by personality, not just availability.

No long contracts

Pay-as-you-go. Cancel any time by email. No minimum term, no exit fee. You only pay for the care you actually receive.

Care Circle app

Stay informed with the Care Circle app: real-time updates from your live-in carer. Daily reports and concerns shared with the whole family.

Transparent pricing

What it costs

Most live-in agencies employ their carers. That adds layers of overhead, about £400 a week more for the same care.

We work differently. Our carers are self-employed. That does three things: it costs you less, the carers earn more, and we get a much bigger pool to choose from because most carers prefer it this way.

It's a normal UK model. Just not the expensive one.

Low dependency

Companionship, prompts for personal care, light housework, meal preparation, medication and stimulating activity. For clients with no cognitive impairment.

£1,155 per week

High dependency

Advanced support including up to two night calls per night, palliative and end-of-life care, hoisting and complex needs. For clients with advanced dementia or significant physical needs.

£1,330 per week

Questions answered

The questions we get most

These come up on nearly every call. A quick chat usually answers everything else.

Still got a question? 0333 305 8439
  • We have three main weekly rates:

    • Low dependency: £1,155 per week
    • Medium dependency: £1,225 per week
    • High dependency: £1,330 per week
  • Yes. A live-in carer also needs:

    • 2 hours off per day
    • A food allowance of £8 per day
    • Their own bed and accommodation in the home

Fuel costs are reimbursed if a carer drives your loved one anywhere. Bank holidays are charged at 1.5× the weekly rate, with Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Easter Sunday at 2×. We talk you through every cost on the first call so you know exactly what to expect.

  • If needed we can do this very quickly. We have many carers on our books and can turn around a "home from hospital" client within a day.
  • Yes. Your agreement with Lillyfields Live-in Care can be cancelled at any time by email. No minimum term, no exit fee.
  • Once you've decided live-in care is the right option, we'll guide you through:

    1. Needs assessment: a manager visits your home to understand your requirements and preferences.
    2. Carer selection: we send you CVs and references for carers we believe will suit your needs.
    3. Phone call: we arrange a call with your preferred carer or carers.
    4. Care plan & Care Circle app: we create a personalised care plan and, if you choose, set up the Care Circle app where you can view daily notes from your carer in real time.
  • All Lillyfields live-in carers are self-employed. We ensure every carer has relevant references, qualifications and security checks, and we pass this information on to clients before a placement begins.
  • Many of our carers have a driving licence and can be insured to drive your vehicle. If you need a carer with their own car, this can be arranged as well, though there are fewer of them.
  • Our team of live-in carers comes from a variety of nationalities. This diversity allows us to match clients with carers who not only meet their professional needs but may also share cultural or language preferences.
  • Yes. We strive to match clients with carers who can provide not only the necessary care but also a strong personal connection. If language or cultural understanding is important to you, we'll do our best to accommodate your preferences.
